I am like you. I was reinstated about six years ago but then quickly stopped going to meetings cause I then seen how heartless my so called friends were. And of course my family is not a family at all, but they are controlled by a publishing company in NY City. I used to laugh when I would read on this site about spies checking out what is said in here and other such sites, but I am a firm believer now. So in reply to your question no I don't love them as I used to, when I loved them before there was no fear with it. I do have a brother Dan who is NOT a witness, if he dose not want to talk with me its because of his own desire at the moment not because some publishing company told him to act that way. Now for me there is the there fear that at any moment they will abandon me as before, so why should I build back the level of love I once had along with the natural security I once had with it. Do you still love your relatives/friends who shun you?
by HadEnuf inas i was participating in my daily duties of domestic slavery i got to ruminating about my mom, sister and brother who are shunning me (even though i am neither df'd of da'd).
i got to thinking to myself that i don't really miss them all that much.
in fact; i almost feel that i have lost the abundance of love that i once felt for them...well, except for my brother who i have never gotten along with anyway.

If you knew there was no reward for serving God would you still serve him?
by Happythoughts in.
do you think most people would serve him?
-
Singing Man
If there is no reward, then as they said in the olden times, indeed yes eat and drink and be marry". In other words why not, if God don't care enough to reward you for being in pain for him then what's the use.

How does a JW know if they are one of the annointed?
by carcroft congregation infirst time i have ever posted a message so my apologies if i am not as succinct in my use of language as some of the other contributors appear to be.
my cousin, who was in his late 20's at the time, announced that he was one of the 144,000 in the mid eighties.
his poor mother, who was scitzophrenic, was hospitalised as the shock sent her into an attack.

I can tell you out right. Its a wonderful feeling, the sky opens up to you when God tells you that you have been chosen you will hear a sound of a deep horn coming from everywhere. And there will be right at the time of the horn the color of amber soaking everything around you. You will see Angles moving about all around you. And above all time will stop nothing will move during this performance when you see this all happening then you will know.
I know I seen this, I started drinking the wine and eating the bread they did not like me doing so but that is OK I drink of it and eat it at home.

[[[ First of all, a GB member, especially a younger one, should, according to the Society's standards, show that his whole life has been a testimony to his being anointed. No unfaithfulness of any sort should be able to be observed. The GB are supposed to be "holy men", without blemish, taking the lead without ever, ever leaving the truth because of wrongdoing. The standards are supposed to be the highest for qualification of the Governing Body .]]] "First of all being without blemish"? Someone give me a break please. "No unfaithfulness of any sort" Again someone please give me an exspresso I must be asleep. People they are humans, get a grip please they do not turn water into wine they never will they never have in fact their excreatment stinks too. For the love of Mike!!!!

Many times I feel regret over studying with many people some of them are Witness's right now. And many of them said I will not be one because your telling me the end of the world is coming in 1975. I remember this one man and his family I studied with, a smart man though I taught him how to read in the process of studying with him. He asked me "do you really believe the end is coming in 1975 like it says in your magazine? I told him I don't know. He said "well if you don't fully believe it will come then why should I". He had me there, that man died a few years latter, so the end of this plain of life ended for him I deceived him and his family with the rubbish in the Awake magazine of 1974 and I feel stupid for it.

THIS USED TO BE THE SOCIETY- HOW SAD TODAY
by JT in"we would not refuse to treat one as a brother because he did not believe the society is the lord's channel... there should be full liberty of conscience.
-- wt april 1, 1920, p. 100, 101
it is interesting to think that at one time the wt viewed itself merely as students of the word sharing and printing thier understanding or interpetation or their take on a biblical point and as a result they felt that if they printed something that someone didn;t agree with well all is well, we just got a different personal view on a matter.
-
Singing Man
Yeh really, so many of us were raised in the so called truth" and had to be kicked around a bunch mentaly before we woke up to the fact that God is not directing each and everything they think say and do. Yes it is sad.

Why Aren't Jehovah's Witnesses Allowed To Freely Express Themselves?
by minimus init's a simple fact.
jw's cannot freely express themselves.
they can't freely tell another about a doubt or a question that they might have for fear they could be exposed to the elders.
-
Singing Man
Well Verginia its this way the JW's have some hard to swallow ideas and they know if you think too much on your own you will say no way Jose! This basicly is it in a nut shell, they want you afraid all the time that amagedon is going to destroy you and all you love unless you do what they say and be in dread all the time, Verginia it seems to be working for the most part.
